Last Days in Egypt : (

The rest of the cruise in Egypt was awesome. We saw many ore temples and tons and then flew back to Cairo. On our last night on the ship we had a party where everyone dressed up. Jen, Allysha and I went as belly dancers, and my mom and Cathy went as widowers (haha so funny and original!) . After the dinner we went to a dance party and danced till midnight. I loved dancing with Hanny and the other guy who worked on the cruise ship. I learned how to really dance like a Egyptian. The next day we flew to Cairo, checked into our hotels, and got a good night sleep because bright and earlier we were being picked up to see the sunrise over the Pyramids of Geisha. So the next morning bright and early we got on the bus and headed to the Pyramids. They were just breath taking. There aren’t even words to describe it. We climbed up the Great Pyramid, up this little, narrow, steep, dark, hot, back crunching passage all the way to the Kings Chamber. All that was left of course was the sarcophagus but we climbed in and took a picture of us lying in there. It was sooo amazing! After we got back my dad, Allysha, David and I ran quickly over to the others for a quick picture since we were about to leave and of course Hanan was worried about us because we were late and she didn’t know where we went but when we got back she was relieved that we were ok and that the camel people didn’t take us to the middle of the desert. We then went to the Sphinx! I absolutely loved it! I have always seen pictures and heard of it but nothing beats actually seeing it. I can just tell you that you haven’t lived until you see the pyramids and Sphinx! After we quickly shoved some sand in some zip blocks we hurried to the bus so we could make it to the museum before the crowds. We didn’t see too much of the museum because if you literally looked at each and every piece there for at least ten seconds everyday 24/7 it would take you over twelve years to see everything in the museum. When we left we said our goodbyes too everyone because they were all leaving in the morning except my family and Jen, and her mom. Then we went to get some real Egyptian food at the Falfella. It was good but let me tell you this. …. Egyptian food is H.E.A.V.Y! You feel like you have eaten a whole cow afterwards. I tried some foods I have never had before and they were pretty tasty. The next morning Jen, Cathy, and my family rented a car and headed back to the museum to see more things. This time we got to see the royal mummies like Ramses the 2nd and some of his descendants. It was creepy! After that we went to go see the pyramids again and go inside the son of the Great Pyramid’s tomb and it wasn’t as cool but it was pretty neat. It was a lot smaller and it smelt kind of bad but “Oh, well.” After the full day we headed back to the hotel, packed our things, gave Cathy and her daughter some of our baggage that they said they would send home for us (Thank them sooooooooooo MUCH!!!!) and then went to bed. The next morning Hanny came to pick us up and take us to the airport. It was hard to say goodbye to him but we promised to come back. We were on the plane and off to Italy in no time!
