First Days in Rome

When we arrived in Italy it was cold and we had no clue where we were going to stay and what to do, so my mom found the tourist info place and they found a nice hotel for us so we caught a cab and headed there. We unpacked then headed out for a short evening. That day we saw a cool piazza and saw the amazing, famous Spanish Steps. They were so old and cool. It was definitely a place for couples to hang out and ya……. But it was really neat. Then we found a really nice place to eat and had one of the best meals ever! The food, well it was amazing! I had never tasted such good Italian food ever and now I am hooked and will never feel the same about eating it in the U.S. It is completely different and 100 times better! The waiter was really nice and we left him a big tip. It was a long dinner so when we got back to the hotel we were tired from the traveling so we went to bed. The next day we got our complimentary breakfast and were off in no time to a park. The park was beautiful and inside there was a astounding museum (Borghese) . The artwork was just wonderful! We walked around the park some more and then we hopped on the subway to the Vatican. There we saw the smallest country in the world, Saint Peter’s Basilica, The Vatican Museum, and the remarkable, famous Sistine Chapel. The Basilica was soo pretty and amazing and I learned a lot from the museum but my favorite and what I was most interested in was the Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo himself. I can honestly say that I almost cried when I saw it. It has always been a dream of mine to see it and now I have and I won’t ever be the same again. We and to leave and I was sad but it was getting late so we got dinner and headed back to the hotel. The next day we had breakfast and headed to the Collesseum. It was soo cool! You definitely can’t got to Rome without seeing. After the Colleseum we walked to the Pantheon and there I saw Rafael’s tomb. It was sad because Audrey is Rafael in out TMNT group. After that we went to a neat castle and then on our way back we stopped at the Trevi Fountain and it was really a sight for sore eyes. Then we headed back to the hotel.
